Dolores O'riordan

Dolores O'Riordan Burton, born 6 September 1971, County Limerick, is an Irish singer and songwriter. She led The Cranberries to worldwide success and fame for thirteen years before the band took a hiatus in 2003. Her first solo album Are You Listening? was released in May 2007.




Courtney Love

Courtney Michelle Love (born Courtney Michelle Harrison on July 9, 1964) is an American rock musician and actress. Love is known as lead singer and lyricist for the alternative rock band Hole and for her two-year marriage to the late Nirvana singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain.




Shirley Manson

Shirley Ann Manson (born August 26, 1966) is a Scottish musician and actress, best known internationally as the lead singer of the Madison, Wisconsin-based alternative rock band Garbage.





Saffron

Samantha Marie Sprackling (born 3 June 1968, Ibadan, Nigeria) more commonly known as Saffron, was the lead singer of the electronica band, Republica. She was also an actress at one point, performing for two years in London's Starlight Express, and appearing in the video for the Chesney Hawkes hit The One and Only and, as a dancer, in the video for N-Joi's single "Mindflux".





Cerys Matthews


Cerys Matthews (born 11 April 1969) is a Welsh singer and songwriter. She is best known as the lead singer of the Welsh rock band Catatonia, for her 1999 Christmas duet with Tom Jones and her 2007 appearance on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.






Nina Persson

Nina Persson, (born Nina Elisabet Persson 6 September 1974 in Örebro, Sweden) is the lead singer and lyricist for the Swedish pop group The Cardigans. She has also worked as a solo artist, releasing two albums as A Camp and appearing on the tribute album to Serge Gainsbourg entitled Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She has also worked with rock group Sparklehorse and was a member of The Cake Sale collective, which released an eponymously titled album in 2006 to raise money for the charity Oxfam and the Ireland Make Trade Fair campaign.





Leigh Nash

Leigh Bingham Nash (born June 27, 1976) is an American singer-songwriter who is the lead vocalist for the rock band Sixpence None the Richer and is also a member of Fauxliage and Movement Nashville. Her debut solo album, Blue on Blue, was released on August 15, 2006 by One Son/ Nettwerk record labels.

Melissa Auf Der Maur

Melissa Auf der Maur (born March 17, 1972) is a Canadian rock musician of Franco-Swiss ancestry from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her career has included 5 years as bassist with the band Hole (which she re-joined in 2009) and she later toured with The Smashing Pumpkins for their 2000 tour. She is also a published photographer.





Cristina Scabbia

Cristina Adriana Chiara Scabbia (born 6 June 1972) is an Italian singer, best known as one of the two vocalists in the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. She also writes an advice column in the popular rock magazine Revolver, alongside musician Vinnie Paul. Scabbia has said that the biggest compliment that a fan could pay her would be to remark on her vocal abilities.Scabbia has a contralto vocal range. [1]. Scabbia is featured in a main Megadeth song, "À Tout le Monde (Set Me Free)". She is also the featured artist in the Apocalyptica song "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)". She is also featured in an alternate version of the Alter Bridge song "Watch Over You".





D'arcy Wretzky

D'arcy Elizabeth Wretzky (born May 1, 1968 in South Haven, Michigan) is a rock musician best known for her work as a bass player with the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins.





Brody Dalle

Brody Dalle-Homme (born Bree Joanna Alice Robinson on January 1, 1979 in Melbourne, Australia, is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. She rose to fame as lead singer/guitarist for the punk rock band The Distillers and currently fronts Spinnerette.





Fiona Apple

Fiona Apple (born Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart on September 13, 1977) is a Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter. She gained popularity through her 1996 album Tidal, especially with the single "Criminal", and because of the music video made for it. Her music is rooted equally in early jazz, pop, and alt-rock and is fundamentally based on very personal poetic verses backed up with progressive production often featuring instruments such as the french horn, optigan or even a full orchestra.

Amy Lynn Hartzler ( born December 13, 1981), best known as Amy Lee, is an American singer-songwriter and classically-trained pianist. She is co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band Evanescence.





Melanie Chisholm

Melanie Jayne Chisholm (born 12 January 1974) is an English singer-songwriter, businesswoman and television personality, best known as one of the five members of the legendary girl group Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed "Sporty Spice". Performing as Melanie C as a solo artist, she released four albums, earned nominations for a BRIT and ECHO Awardsand charted at the top of Billboard Dance Chart in the United States in late 2000.

Chisholm holds the position for most United Kingdom number-one singles by a female co-writer. She is also third after Lennon and McCartney for the most UK number-one singles by a British co-writer and is the only female to reach the UK number-one as part of a quintet, quartet, duo and as a solo artist.
