
The Listener is a Canadian supernatural drama about a young paramedic named Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik) with the ability to listen to people's most intimate thoughts. Toby is a 28-year-old first year paramedic who did not know his father and grew up in foster homes. Until now Toby has kept his ability secret and the only one he has shared it with is his old counselor and confidant, Dr. Ray Mercer (Colm Feore). While he crosses the city of Toronto in his ambulance with his partner Osman "Oz" Bey (Enis Esmer), Toby tries to help persons in crisis and on the way treat his own wounds. With the help of Detective Marks (Lisa Marcos) and his on-and-off girlfriend Olivia (Mylène Dinh-Robic), an E.R doctor, Toby realizes that his gift can serve to help other people. By the end of the first season Oz, Det. Marks, and Olivia know of his gift but it does get him and Det. Marks in trouble with Det. Sgt. Becker (Anthony Lemke).

It concerns two male Caltech prodigies in their twenties, one an experimental physicist (Leonard) and the other a theoretical physicist (Sheldon), who live across the hall from an attractive blonde waitress with show-biz aspirations (Penny).
Leonard and Sheldon's geekiness and intellect are contrasted with Penny's social skills and common sense for comedic effect. Two equally geeky friends of theirs, Howard and Rajesh, are also main characters.

Lie to Me is an American television midseason replacement that premiered on the Fox network on January 21, 2009. In the show, Dr. Cal Lightman and his colleagues in The Lightman Group accept assignments from third parties (commonly local and federal law enforcement), and assist in investigations, reaching the truth through applied psychology: interpreting microexpressions, through the Facial Action Coding System, and body language.Dr. Lightman's character is based on Paul Ekman's work, noted psychologist and expert on body language and facial expressions, although the show begins with a disclaimer stating that the Lie to Me* characters are not based on real persons.
In May 2009, the show was renewed for a second season consisting of 13 episodes.
